Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidence-based psychotherapeutic approach which focuses on increasing psychological flexibility. It helps to teach individuals to identify their values, become aware of their thoughts, and create shifts in behavior so that they can take action towards their values, instead of staying stuck in their anxious thoughts. Memory Reconsolidation is a powerful tool used for treating anxiety. It works by re-organizing the memory of a traumatic event to reduce the associated fear and distress.
